Bluebird Nesting Boxes at King Street Rehab

Bluebird eggs

The bluebird is a cavity nester, meaning that instead of making their own nests, they use the various nooks and crannies available to them. As a medium-sized bird, the bluebird has to compete with larger, more aggressive species for safe nesting space. One of the most effective measures that has been taken to protect the bluebird is the introduction of nest boxes.

Bluebirds At King Street Rehab, we have several nesting boxes on our property in order to give these beautiful birds a safe home. This year we were blessed with 4 perfect, powder-blue eggs, which we’re excited to announce have hatched! We are pleased that we can provide a safe home for these beautiful creatures and look forward to watching them grow!
